Partnerships

Funders:

The REAMP network, a Midwest-wide network of foundations and non-profits working to create climate solutions and a clean energy economy, provides grant funding for the South Minneapolis Our Power campaign and a similar effort in Iowa City.

Grassroots supporters like you are vital supporters. Community donors can provide tax-deductible donations to Our Power through our fiscal sponsor, Grand Aspirations, a non-profit based in the Twin Cities that supports young people building the green economy across the country. You can donate online using the PayPal button at right or by check written to “Grand Aspirations” with “MN Our Power” in the memo and mailed to:

Grand Aspirations
3100 Longfellow Ave,
Minneapolis, MN 55407

MN Our Power does not receive funding from the energy utilities. We promote the energy efficiency and clean energy rebates and programs of Xcel Energy and Centerpoint Energy in order to help community members take advantage of the resources they provide and only to the extent that we feel that these programs advance the community-based energy future that we wish to see. We recognize the many perspectives community members hold about the role of current energy utilities in our energy future and work with people with many different perspectives on this issue.

Community Partners:

The following community organizations participate in Our Power by engaging their base in the vision of a better energy future and in many cases working on a specific project that advances this vision.

  • East Phillips Improvement Coalition
  • Corcoran GROWS
  • Latino Economic Development Center
  • In The Heart of the Beast Theater
  • Lake Street Council
  • Transition Towns Phillips

Our Power is also driven by residents and community based leaders unaffiliated with these groups who are taking leadership of the campaign. If you want to join them in taking action, visit the Engage the Community and Build Our Power pages.

Better Energy Partners

The following organizations and local businesses work to advance a clean and efficient energy future and provide programs and services for residents and businesses in our community. Our Power connects residents and businesses with these groups to provide energy resources as they need them.
